Want a simple way to shut down all your programs and Windows itself without having to open any menus or click anywhere?

Simply hold down the {Alt key} and keep tapping the {F4 key} until everything has closed and you are presented with the Shutdown dialogue box. If the Shutdown dialogue box is already set for Shutdown, as opposed to Restart or Suspend, you then need only hit the Enter key to complete the process; otherwise, click on your choice of commands.

This tip came in handy when the electricity went off because of bad weather and I only had a few minutes to shut down both computers before their battery backups expired.
