Do you have a ton of Spyware on your system? (Spyware is one of the leading causes of Spam ..... it tracks and reports what type of sites you visit - then sends you ads based on that.) If so, you might want to download the Free version of AdAware - run it - and get rid of that spyware. Programs like Gator, HotBar, IWon ...... YUCK!!! They will eventually destroy parts of your file system on your computer. After you get rid of the SpyWare, run another virus scan and see what comes up. You can also check for viruses at Housecall .. go to google - www.google.com and search for Housecall - it's by Trend Micro - then scan with them for free.

The reason that some anti-virus companies consider Spyware a 'virus' is because of the potential damage it can do over a period of time - including sharing and selling all your personal information - collecting your passwords, etc. Gator, Hotbar, and MyWay Speedbar all have serious severe reputations of doing this type of thing.
