When we grow too weary
life's troubles o'ertake ~
some awful circumstance
causes our hearts to break.

Too burden'd to pray
thoughts scatter here & there ~
in confusion and doubt
those twins of despair.

Faith seems elusive
that once was so strong ~
oh ~ where is it hiding
what has gone wrong?

We're thinking of quitting
but wait ~ what's that sound ~
imagination or reality
our hearts begin to pound.

We feel a gentle touch
feather~soft and light ~
whispers of hope
clothed in gossamer bright.

Fragrance surrounds us
Heaven's own sweet perfume ~
erasing the shadows
depression and gloom.

Words are not needed
they'd get in the way ~
Just quiet reassurance
to know they will pray.

Angels of Mercy
whose love knows no end ~
ALL will be well now
For God sent a FRIEND !
