"Jesus' Feet"
Jesus walked this earth only a short time
But oh what wonders did this Savior of mine;
Walking from place to place in old ragged sandals
Walking by the stars instead of by candles.
Sometimes on water and bread He had to dine
No fancy clothes to wear, or shoes so fine;
I can imagine all the sores
But all this pain for us our Savior bore.
He walked this old earth, only here to teach
So others would come behind him and preach;
On this earth for Jesus there was only great pain
No, on this old earth Jesus had nothing to gain.
He was sent down as a sacrifice,
Gods beloved Son
Jesus said Father I will go and it will be done;
He looked up at his Father
And said I have not failed
And then to the old rugged cross
Jesus was nailed.
Jesus knew the time had come,
Soon there would be no sun
But yet, He said forgive them
They know not what they've done
And then to an old rugged cross
Made from a tree
Jesus was hung,
And there died for you and me.
Now I can look forward to that time and place
When finally I am free
To see Jesus wonderous face
And to know that Him I will finally meet
So I may place all my lifes crowns
At Jesus feet.
