One Fold and One Shepherd

There were shepherds watching in the fields.
The sheep were grazing and some were ready for the night.
Mother's watched over their babies keeping watch over the mountain hills.
The shepherd held one tiny newborn in his arms so tight.

A baby was born one night in Bethlehem.
Joseph tried to find a room but there were none in sight.
The birth pains made Mary weep until her eyes fell upon Him.
One Shepherd was born on this night of all nights.

The cattle watched for they knew who this man was.
Mary wrapped Him and held Him tight to her heart.
The animals all knew this was the Shepherd who was born with a cause.
Though man waited for the coming King God's sacrifice had made His start.

There was one fold in the stable in Bethlehem when Jesus was born.
There was one Shepherd born to die for the sin of all mankind.
Little did she know His precious head would one day wear a crown of thorns.
This was God's Son sent to free the captives and open the eyes of the blind.

On Calvary's hill the Shepherd hung for the world to see.
The fold wept as they watched this innocent man died for them.
This was the One Shepherd named Jesus of Galilee.
Where was the fold who had this man condemned?

Two thousand years have passed since and we still have One Shepherd.
The church is still the Fold waiting for the return of the One they love.
The fields are white for harvest but not all have been told.
How many souls have you won for the Shepherd who is sitting on the right hand
of the Father above?

We have One Fold and One Shepherd for eternity.
One Fold and One Shepherd and one way to the Father.
There is only One way your soul will be free.
It is your choice, Jesus the Shepherd or His enemy Lucifer.
