"It is more blessed to give than receive."
Laurie T
Acts 20:35
Just what is the meaning of this time of year?
In the hurrying and the scurrying of this festive Season
Let us not forget the greatest Gift of all
The Gift of a Child being born in the city of David, through a virgin birth1
Who made the way through that Gift to give us Everlasting Life2
In the hurrying and the scurrying of this festive Season
Let us not forget our lonesome neighbor, a hurting friend or the stranger on the street3
Let us offer the Gift to tell of Christ's birth, His perfect life,4
And the ultimate sacrifice He paid for all of us5
In the hurrying and the scurrying of this festive Season
Let us not forget to tell someone of the blessed hope that lies within us6
And during this Season of giving, to do more than just give, but offer the Gift
Do you know of this Gift? To have Jesus as your personal Savior?
If you do not, ask Him to come into your heart and forgive you of your sins7
And this festive Season will be just the beginning of the joy8
You will know (not just now), but it will mean Everlasting Life to you
In the hurrying and the scurrying of this festive Season
Let us not forget the ultimate Gift we received and how grateful we are for God sending His son, Jesus Christ, born in the city of David, through a virgin birth
And in our gratitude may our lives be a reflection of that Gift9
