Sitting
in My Office
How do I plan out my office time day
With work to do always, and no time to play
With animals hungry, and emails to read
My Website's behind and my garden needs seed
My House is all dusty, rooms can't be neglected
Those Prayers need be said, Bible Study reflected
Must take time for coffee (2 cups) and then eat
Gather eggs from my chickens, plump pillows, and sweep
But my minds on my office, the files are a mess
I'm behind on just everything, no time to rest
Got more mails than numbers, can't answer them all
But the ones that I wait for don't write, come, or call
There's updates and prayer letters, woops, here it's time
And the ISP bill's here; I don't have a dime...
Think I better look up and give God back my life
Cause I can't get a handle, I don't like the strife
Only He can bring peace to this hectic day now
So I'll sit at his feet and release it somehow
I can sit in my office, let him plan my day
Then I'll find time for all because he'll show the way
He will live my life through me not me on my own
And in time he will handle whatever's undone
It will be there tomorrow if not done today
I'm learning -- I'm learning to Trust and Obey
