Welcome to Hearts for Christ Ministries.

My name is Shirley Kiger Connolly; I am a Devotional Writer, a Christian Romance Novelist, and I run the Hearts For Christ Ministries website. The devotionals I prepare are sent out monthly to the Koinonia Community and when I have gathered up a comfortable selection, I compile them into books to make them available to the world, with prayers going out that they will minister to others in a small way. I began writing romances years ago. In my love stories I try to filter in subtle faith messages. It is my evangelistic approach to sharing God’s love with the world around me and for the encouragement of other believers. It is a true passion of my heart.

The Hearts for Christ Ministries website serves several purposes as you can see. Because God's precious Word is important to me, we have made available for our visitors a team ministry of women for the purpose of intercessory prayer, teaching of God’s Word, and counsel according to the Word of God. We fellowship in the love of God and our thoughts are to be encouragers as much as possible. We believe that the result of studying gives all of us the opportunity to grow ourselves by way of God’s wonderful word. Hearts for Christ provides annual Ministry Conferences for all our members, both Koinonia and HFC and other seekers on the peripheral. Lord willing, you can check our next one out when it comes up. They are awesome.

My husband Tom and I live in a Southern Oregon coastal town where my husband is involved helping in ministry through teaching and I doing the same in the teaching of women. The two of us met years ago during the Jesus Movement, remember Southern California? We were a part of that. We hail out of Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa originally and have been growing strong ever since. (The evidence of good teaching from God’s Word once again.)

Our Koinonia Updates will fill you in on what goes on around our homestead, and how God brings us through all our crazy mishaps, regardless of what they may be. If you sign up for the Koinonia Community you can be a part of that.

We have three grown children, Tom and I, two of which live right nearby while the other, with his wife and sons travel all over the world. He is an officer in the US Army.

The call to serve in the ministry came early. Tom pioneered his first church down in Sonoma County, California - where he was pastor for several years, and from there it was to New York at West Point for another five. Our first Ladies Koinonia Fellowship began in California, and continues to this day up here in Oregon.

Hearts for Christ Ministries moves steadily along and is well into its fourth year and still going strong. Our pages have grown from two or three, to a continuous outbreak of features that God's Spirit has laid upon our hearts.

I can't thank Him enough for all that He is doing in my life, and in the in lives of those who now serve on the Hearts for Christ Ministry Team; also for those who share in our Koinonia Fellowship and Hearts For Christ Webrings!
