Dorcas
Continued from Page 3

Question for the Group:
Do you look first to your own needs or to the needs of others?
How often do you show thoughtfulness and benevolence to others?

Challenge:
Discuss ways you can compassionately respond to the cry of the needy within your fellowship

Question for the Group:
Discuss a day in the life of Dorcas.

Challenge:
Describe an average day in your life.

Final Review:

  1. Discuss what you have learned from Dorcas' testimony and witness, and the significance of what she represented to her friends and those she met. (Acts 9:36-43)

  2. How do you think Dorcas discovered her place in the body?

  3. Turn to Romans 12:4-8 then share where you believe God has placed you in the body or in ministry.

  4. Where do you place yourselves in service?

  5. If you were going to allow Dorcas' testimony to cause change in your life, what change would that be?

Final Words:

As a believer Dorcas did not just talk about doing good, she did good, but she did it all as unto the Lord. What is in our hands for service? May we remember that any service we do is to bring glory to God and not to ourselves.
