Lydia
Continued from Page 3

THIS IS WHERE WE ALL NEED TO BE WHEN IT COMES TO THE WORD OF GOD -
  • With our HEARTS open to it,
  • With our EARS listening to it,
  • With our MINDS absorbed in it,
  • With our SPIRITUAL DESIRES willing to capture it,
  • With indubitable THIRSTS to drink from it,
  • With our LIVES in a place where we can be converted by it.

Comparing Lydia's Life with Our Own...How do we fit in?

  • Lydia connected herself as a religious advocate with the devout women of the area.
  • With an OPEN HEART Lydia was receptive to all God had for her.
  • As an intelligent woman, Lydia chose her days wisely, by honoring God in her vocation, and taking appropriate time for prayer.
  • With a hunger for more, Lydia showed that she was teachable.
  • As a woman of good judgment, Lydia fellowshipped with other Christians, and exercised the gift of hospitality which God had given her.
  • With a thirst for more of God in her life, Lydia discovered what it was to have a close relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ as Lord of her life.
  • As a born-again believer Lydia shared her faith with others.
  • Lydia, as an independent, prominent businessperson, worked as unto the Lord.
