Priscilla
Continued from Page 1

PRISCILLA and AQUILA TACTFULLY instructed him on what the Bible says about Jesus Christ as our crucified, risen, and glorified Lord. As Orthodox Jews, they were well versed in the Old Testament, as well as the teachings of Paul -- How important it is to have Good Bible Teaching and then be able to expound on what you have learned!) PRISCILLA and AQUILA knew God's word in detail and perceived Apollo's earnestness. How much easier it is to be able to share with someone who is open to receive more!

As husband and wife, they served God together (for they are not written of separately. They were a true unit of both spiritual and social life in the church as a husband and wife ministry team.) As partners in the ministry, (The couple exemplified church workers who not only talked the talk, but also walked the walk.)

Their secular jobs as tentmakers, leather workers, and upholsterers - (depending on which commentary you read) opened the door for Paul to join them, since he believed wholeheartedly in working along with ministering.

The Apostle Paul was encouraged by PRISCILLA and AQUILA and resided in their home for a year and a half. He continuously instructed them in the scriptures as the three worked together. Paul FOUND them and was pleased with their relationship with God. How might others FIND us in our relationship with the Lord?

PRISCILLA and AQUILA harvested a church in their home...twice, both in Ephesus and in Rome. (Read Romans 16:3-5 and I Corinthians 16:19.)

Greet Priscilla and Aquila, my fellow workers in Christ Jesus, who risked their own necks for my life, to whom not only I give thanks, but also all the churches of the Gentiles. Likewise greet the church that is in their house.
Romans 16:3-5 NKJV

The churches of Asia greet you. Aquila and Priscilla greet you heartily in the Lord, with the church that is in their house.
1 Corinthians 16:19 NKJV
