Priscilla
Continued from Page 2

How do we use the places and things God has provided for us, such as our homes, our gifts, our talents?

In Scriptures it was uncommon to mention the wife before the husband but in Priscilla's name it is mentioned first in 50% of the Scriptural references. Could she have been a complimentary mouthpiece to her husband? When a married couple is involved in ministry of any sort, one must complement the other for it to work well. Maybe Priscilla stood out due to her hospitable nature and willingness to open her home and make it a church.

Priscilla and Aquila bore spiritual fruit: something we should all seek after. As Paul spread the gospel and shared scripture in their home, they followed suit, spread the gospel, and shared scripture. (See the testimony of Apollo in Acts 18:24-26 written above). As Apollo learned the Word in its completion, he then passed it on

The last mention of Priscilla and Aquila is in II Timothy 4:19.

Greet Prisca and Aquila, and the household of Onesiphorus.

Of Special Note: Priscilla's name was preserved in history for our learning something about her character. Look, once again, at her character traits and find scriptures that relate.

Special Facts about: Tradition says that she and her husband became martyrs for the Lord and were beheaded for their witness.

Her Significant Insight: She knew God's Word well, thus, she had not only the gift of knowledge, but also the wisdom to speak it.
