For individual thought or group discussion

Discussion: How strong is your faith? Are you willing to leave all of the worldly things behind and possibly your family and look only to the things of God?
Challenge: Ponder one thing that the Lord wants for you to "leave behind".

Discussion: Are you willing to do humble things for others? Do you volunteer to do the things that no one wants to do or that doesn’t get recognition?
Challenge: Ponder what humble thing you can do-not so others will praise you, but because you can see something that needs to be done.

Discussion: We all have reputations. Does the reputation that precede you bring glory to God?
Challenge: Some things to ponder: What have people heard about you? What do you do when you think nobody sees?

Discussion: Do you trust God to direct you in doing what’s good for your life?
Challenge: Ponder a time when you trusted God in something that didn’t make sense until later. Sometimes we have pieces of the puzzle and but don’t see the whole picture until it’s all together.

Discussion: How often do you refuse to "let go and let God"? It’s hard to back away because we want to keep "helping" the situation not to mention being in control.
Challenge: Ponder a time when you had to let go and wait and trust.

Final Review:

From hardship, to destitution, living in a strange land, we CAN have hope when we make a confession of faith to the Lord.

The Lord works through complete tragedy and turns them into blessings, blessings, blessings.
