Widow of Zarephath
Continued from Page 5

Final Review:

Do you know of the Truth? For this Truth can and most definitely will set you free. We cannot comprehend God’s love for us. We cannot contain His measure of love on any human scale. For his love is higher than the heavens, deeper than the sea…nothing we can see can describe His love, it is offered freely and has no limits.

Ephesians 3:17-21
"That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fullness of God. Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end." Amen.

translated “dwell” means to settle down and be at home, to be at ease.

“And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”
John 8:32

The Lord loves us so much, He cares about each and every detail of our lives just as He did with the Widow of Zarephath. Sometimes it is too amazing to comprehend and there are times that He will just leave you awestruck at what He has provided! Sometimes even before we may know of the need ourselves! We are to be rooted in His love, grounded in it.

Displaying this kind of love to others in our lives may be our ultimate challenge. We impact those lives around us on a daily basis.

Final Words (and Personal Challenge):
Are you bringing everything to the Lord? All the intricate details in your heart?

Just as He blessed the Widow in her obedience to providing for Elijah and healing her son, bringing him back to life, the Lord wants to pour out blessings in your life as well. Whatever you are facing at this particular time, it may be hard to see His plan at work, but that is where our faith is stretched to just say, “I trust You completely Lord.” This may be what we might have heard the Widow proclaim through the trials in her life. So, we must walk as the Widow of Zarephath did and trust that He will meet our needs, daily, moment by moment.

“But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.”
Matthew 6:33,34 NKJV

“But blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord whose confidence is in him. He will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.”
Jeremiah 17:7-8 NIV

Further readings of the Lord using other widows, being so few, may speak volumes!
